You can receive college credit for your learning expedition through Western Colorado University, Northland College, or other institutions that award academic credit through independent study programs. Moreover, you can also use funding like a 529 College Savings Account or an AmeriCorps Education Award to pay for your course.
College Credit
We offer credit-bearing courses through our accredited partners, Western Colorado University and Northland College. Additionally, some institutions award academic credit through independent study programs. As with any external study program, the student's home university must approve their program and accompanying transfer credit before the student embarks on course.
529c Accounts
Students may use their 529 College Savings Accounts to help cover the cost of tuition when seeking college credit. We can accept 529 College Savings Plans through Western Colorado University’s Extended Studies program. Anyone can register – you do not have to be a current Western Colorado University student to use your Savings Plan or receive credit. Learn More.
